3rd March Meeting

For this meeting we had decided to go away and prepare two design proposals that adhered to rules that we defined in our previous meeting.
These rules being,

. Specific Grid,
9 column, 3mm gutter, 9mm margins, side, top & bottom.

. Headers.
Agreed to use a universal header throughout the book, the size and position of which being flexible.

The following is my proposed designs adhering to the rules...

Lorenzo and Jo sat in on the meeting and we presented our ideas to them.
The feedback we got was positive yet there is much left to do and work on.

An issue raised was that all of the designs were quite safe and between all 4 of us they looked pretty much the same. We were advised that we needed to go away and really play around with it, throwing in all sorts of different ideas and essentially have fun with it, push it as far as possible. As any 'wacky' out there ideas can always be refined and made less mental.
Furthermore the point was made that we are an Art college and we shouldn't be wanting or doing plain, corporate stuff, we have the excuse to be a bit mental and try new and exciting things, so thats the plan.

On top of this feedback we were advised on what we should have ready for the next meeting / time we see any of the tutors,

Experimentation with pages and designs
Alternative design routes
Print outs (Specific to point size and imagery)
Mock ups of designs

So, plan of action...

From the meeting we decided to design 2 alternative routes  (on the back of what feedback we got) as well as making a safe version from combining the designs we bought to todays meeting.
