Yearbook

We had decided to do the whole pitch in a day, getting together in the morning to group all our separate ideas and initial concepts together.
We quickly all got behind one concept put forward by Matt. That being everything based on the number 3. With the thinking behind it being that we, as a year, are the last year of the first set of 3 to graduate from the course. We are obviously the 3rd year, there are 3 main studios, 3 tutors and 3 is as we all know the magic number.
Between the group we took and developed the concept further, proposing to apply it to different aspects of the book that had not yet been said. I had put forward ideas for colour schemes and concepts on including photographs of everyone.
Firstly the colour, I had the idea that the book needs to resemble the previous two as to conclude in an evident set of three books. Bearing that in mind I proposed the colour orange to be the main colour within the book. Firstly its a mixture of Yellow - first book, and red - second book. Furthermore, it's one of the best colours for positive connotations.
The rest of the group were happy with the colour choice and developing it with the concept of 3 we came to the decision of having orange, black & white. (Along with full colour photography).
From here I wanted to try and include an interesting concept / theme for the photographs of the students in the year, so played with a few ideas I put forward...

Although some alright ideas in themselves none of them really stood out to the boys or me, but with time being an issue this was the best solution to the problem at hand, keeping it within the concept of 3. The next issue we had concerning this was whether we were going to include a photo of the designer on their double page spread, conclusion...no. So to cater these images in and to include some photographs of us students which I felt was important, we came up with including them somehow at the back of the page, possibly having the back and front cover fold out into 3 sections...

The layout of which was played around with for a while, but yeah, this is what we came to within the time period.
Other things we proposed was the designs of invitations (envelope) .
