Visiting Pro Pages

Open publication - Free publishing - More book

Some quick experimentation into the visiting pro page, can we fit all studios onto one page? This will reduce the cost of the book as it will have less pages than if we have a DPS for each visiting pro.

Initial Concept

Can the labels for snowboards be more like the swing tags of clothing?

Concept
To get away from the sticker format of labelling and get rid of things getting in the way of the design of the board etc have a swing tag style label which hangs from a screw, which is screwed into the board, in one of the binding slots.
(Excuse the quick photoshopping)

Westbeach

Westbeach clothing tags...

Strong series of tags, way of designing to a large set. use of gloss print on front to grab attention. Again creating more collectable, credible things.

Why aren't snowboard labels more like these? Does it have to be a sticker?

Different style of label...

Weekend

Looked up these guys as I've never heard of them before, pretty sweet brand, funny, light hearted.

This was stuck up next to their boards, different approach to it. Not a huge fan of laminate though, Bit tacky.

Volcom

Volcom swing tag design.
With clothing it's not much of an issue to have busy colourful designs as the tags normally hang down and therefore don't interfere with the product as much.

Special Blend

Clothing swing tags and labels from Special Blend.
More inviting designs, swing tags in form of mini booklets full of all the necessary information.

Signal

Signal put a lot of stuff on their boards.

. Stickers on front
Different idea on how to show technology and features

On back:

. Size chart
. Stat chart and specs for all boards

. Sealed pack with stickers / posters / warranty information.

Its a lot of stuff and covers up most of the board really, this I think is a shame, but the stuff they give is pretty sweet, minus the whole chart thing.

Salomon

Sticker label that comes with a sticker, nice touch!

Bit too busy looking, it doesn't look like there's any more information on it than the previous labels but for some reason looks very tight and little white space.

Ride

Disappointing label from Ride.
Far too busy and full on information nobody will want to read due to the layout and design of it.

Quicksilver

Some more clothing swing-tags / labels, this time from Quicksilver.

A medium size, but nice to see some thought and how each label is matched with the board itself.

Nidecker

Terrible looking label.

K2

Size doesn't matter.
Nice effort yet poorly designed.
Small wrap around sticker label,

A4 Size sticker, for a bit of poor design its not too bad.

I quite like the colour used, def grabs the eye and what not but when on a busy colour board i think it will look mental and far too busy.
