Green -Bottle of Champagne

Working on this in the studio, one of the guys came up and mentioned he liked the texture of the photo pattern, I showed him the whole thing and the designs I had so far. I then asked if he could figure out my thinking of rather the concept behind my design.
He thought it was simply a take on the trophy being in snow, the mositure of it and what not. I explained the original concept, he then suggested why not make the colour of it green, representing a typical champagne bottle. Seemed like a beautiful idea...

 

Applied this to the trophy, along with the type. It looks so army like. Not good.

Tried it without the type but it still doesn't push the champagne idea any further.
Sack it off? I think so.
