Initial Designs

After finding out about the difference between Nike 6.0 and Nike SB / Nike Snowboarding I thought why not expand it further. So as well as having the nike 6.0 sites and teams each board sport has it's own site like the skating and snowboarding.

So I spent some time designing logos for each board sport, playing off the design for Nike Snowboarding...

Concept

Each sports logo representing something about that sport. The existing snowboarding logo for me depicts a board and a side of a mountain.

This I then took further with Nike Skiing, having two of the shape, still showing the mountain but also the two skis.

Nike Wakeboarding is supposed to show the boat (an essential part to the sport) the cross representing the engine propellers with the same shape of Skiing and Snowboarding.

Then Surfing, the same shape but curved to represent waves.

The same designs again with changes to Nike Wakeboarding. This time representing the handle that the boarders hold onto, I prefer the look of this logo but the previous one is more relevant in terms of concept.

I do like this concept and the designs however, these will only become appropriate if Nike released specific products for each sport, notably the boards for each one. At the moment there isn't a need and there isn't a profit to be made from releasing these separate branches of Nike. Where with Nike Snowboarding they've just released the first snowboard boots. With Nike skateboarding they have the collection of footwear. Other than that it's just general apparel, T-shirts, hats etc.

Possible Development

Setting up these branches of Nike along with SB & Snowboarding as Nike release new boards for each sport.
